Volunteer Team

We have an enthusiastic team of volunteers who keep the shop running on a day-to-day basis (every day except Christmas Day!)

We are so grateful to all of our volunteers, whether young or not-so-young, and whether they can help out regularly or just on an occasional basis.

Without our volunteers, it would simply not be possible to operate the shop on the current 364-day-a-year basis that offers such a convenient service for all our local residents.

Have you ever thought about becoming a volunteer to help maintain this local service?

The work is not difficult and full training is given. People work in pairs, so it could be done with a friend. No commitment regarding days or times is required – you just sign on the rota for the shift that suits you best. Even once a month would help to spread the workload.  If working behind the counter is not for you, why not volunteer for something behind the scenes.

Working with us is a great way to meet people and be involved in village life, make or catch up with friends, have fun and build confidence. Volunteering looks great on a CV and helps people considering returning to paid employment.

We need you and will offer you a warm and friendly welcome.

To find out more, please ring the Shop on 272431 or Charlotte on 07443 475190.

If you prefer to read a little more about the role first, you can take a browse through the role description and volunteering agreement on our About Volunteering webpage.
